Certain foods and drinks that need to be avoided include acidic food items, chocolates, cold drinks, and other aerated drinks, alcohols, and fried and fatty foods. Other food items that need to be eliminated from your diet are garlic, onion, citrus fruits, mint flavorings, tomato, spicy foods and other similar items. But in case you suffer from a severe acid reflux burning sensation, you should consult your doctor. The disease can be cured in its initial stages. But once the severity increases, it becomes difficult to be controlled even by your doctor. There are various treatments for acid reflux in case you are not able to prevent the disease.
